Replant is a surgical procedure through which a dentist can reaffix the shaded, extracted, pathologically or accidentally damaged, dislodged tooth or severely mobile tooth repaired prepared and reaffix in the same socket.

During my Dental practice my research mind was as active as that was in my child hood and as that in dental studies. I started using my own methods in medical- surgical & technical treatments. Learnt pharmacy from medical reprentatitives, applied medicines from my medical friends and surgical techniques through gossips with general anaesthetists.

My success in replant surgery is based on Great man Jagdishchandra Bose's life story. He had written in his young age memories that – while taking towel from bamboo, he had dropped an egg of a sparrow staying in bamboo hollow. Hearing cry of the poor sparrow he kindly wrapped – bandaged creaked egg with his Dhoti Cloth. After some days he found that reunion occurred and he was satisfied when he had seen new born little sparrow, and very happy mother sparrow.

My hunger – habit - hobby of reading helped me in getting ideas for new inventions. Once my uncle Dr. Subodh Jhaveri told me to prepare very thin plastic plate and shape it for Nasal Septum. Using such knowledge through various experiences in life I started preparing temporary crowns using cold- cure acrylic plastic. In1974 I had detached second molar by mistake while extracting Lower left last molar. To avoid any hot discussion with patient I had replanted the tooth and immobilized it with same plastic splint technique. From this experience my research of replantation of same tooth in same socket started. Using various ways of immobilization I had fixed my Theory of Replanting Tooth in 1984, used it for various conservative purposes, like replant to have more abutments, replant for aesthetic purpose, replant of embedded tooth, replant of # teeth etc.
