What is VD Corrections?
In cases of congenital absence of posterior teeth – congenital deficiency diseases like enamalogenasis imperfacta – dentinogenesis imperfacta small size teeth, vertical height of face from nose to chin reduces, creates ugly look. In cases of bruxism and night clinching habit, the teeth structure reduces in vertical height, resulting in to reduction of vertical dimension of the face, in cases of surgical removal of last molars, during healing period tremendous pressure exerts, resulting cracks and # of crowns of posterior teeth further resulting into clinching and reduction in vertical dimension. Muscles performing jaw actions are stretched and stressed, some times resulting in to neuro-muscular disease like muscular twitch, requires correction of vertical dimension by restoring true height of jaw relations. The Conservative Prosthodontic or Cosmetic treatment procedures carried out are known as VD Correction procedures.

Experiences
Jayanti Chauhan was a engineering student, having Enamalogenesis Imperfacta, a Congenital disease. His teeth were small sized and low height occurred due to trimmed off enamel. This created docile face and reduced vertical dimension of face. Providing full mouth crowns I could provide him a confident look, which encouraged him to study further.

After getting all last molars extracted, some time shrinkage occurs at the angle of mandible. This creates habit of bruxism and further damage to occlusal surface of molars and pre molars. That results as a reduction in vertical dimension of face. Shraddha Patel, Kirit Patel, Mahesh Naiyer, Priyanka Thaker, were the cases treated successfully by me.
